Principal Engineer - Electro Mechanical

Qualifications:

A recognized degree holder with experience, qualifications and membership of a professional engineering registration body. The candidate will have a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in a professional practice, preferably a consultancy practice with at least five (5) years in a senior design and project management role.

Requirements:

The job requires an individual who has extensive experience in the design and project management of electrical and/or mechanical engineering systems associated with the water and wastewater sector; treatment plants, pumping stations and pipelines, as well as a sound understanding of general power distribution. Principal Engineer is a senior position in the company and carries the responsibility of managing and mentoring design office staff within the department as well as overall technical deliverables and achievement of financial targets.

Skills:

Proven design team management skills, extensive practical design capability, computer literate with a high level of fluency in written and spoken English, including technical English, the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with senior Client personnel, other principal staff and senior management within the company is a prerequisite.
